I remember I was pleasantly surprised when Square Enix released Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, with the condensed but enjoyable take on the epic adventure making for a fun little romp on both mobile devices on consoles. Well, with Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis they’ve taken that idea and gone wild with it, with a full remake (yes, another one) of the full Final Fantasy VII video game collection coming to mobile devices in episodic releases starting in 2022.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a chapter-structured single player experience which will cover the whole of the FFVII timeline, including the events of the original game along with all the FFVII compilation titles, as well as new story elements, penned by Final Fantasy VII Remake story and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima, surrounding the origins of SOLDIER.
So I’m very, very, VERY excited for this. I mean, we waited long enough for a Final Fantasy VII remake – why not have two? Here’s hoping it might make its way to consoles too.
